Kate Thorburn is an Illustrator and Surface Pattern Designer based in West Yorkshire. 

She has over 15 years' experience working in the greeting card sector and had a background in Ceramic Design before specialising in painting for a living. 

Her main passion is creating bright florals, painterly illustrations inspired from nature, her travels and love for printed textiles. Kate also loves exhibitions, architecture, street art and is always on the lookout for inspiration wherever she goes. She loves a botanical garden to fill her floral bucket! 

Kate predominately paints using bright acrylics, inks and watercolours to create strong brush stroke illustration.
